Chapel Club: Zion Lutheran Schol gives 7th and 8th grade students worship service leadership opportunities through music and chancel dramas at our Association churches. A group of select students meets once a week during the school day to brainstorm, practice and enhance Sunday worship at Association churches.

Chess Club: The Chess Club offers a stimulating recreational activity, sharpening strategy, recall, prediction, and memory skills for students in grades 5-8. Its highlight is the competition at L.E.S.T.

Knowledge Bowl: The Knowledge Bowl provides an opportunity for academically gifted students to match their general knowledge skills against others of comparable ability. The two Zion teams comprised of students from grades 5-8 compete at the L.E.S.T. in February and at the Puget Sound Knowledge Bowl in March.

Spelling Bee: Every October spellers from each grade compete in the annual Zion Lutheran Spelling Bee. The top two spellers from each grade level are chosen to go on to compete in the Puget Sound Lutheran School Spelling Bee in November. The top two spellers in Grades 5-8 also compete in the L.E.S.T. Spelling Bee.
